I’ve had several people reach out after the recent post about my efforts to remaster the BanMyu Sailor Moon musicals.
The short answer is yes, they should be available to watch soon!
I’m a big fan of the folks who run the Sea of Serenity website. It was their translation of PGSM that got me started on this weird and wonderful journey. They’re incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated.
They, and the extended community around the site, were there every step of the way during this process, offering support, encouragement, and a sounding board when I was unsure how to proceed.
Now that this project has concluded, I have turned all of my remasters over to Sea of Serenity.
Although they are not available on the website yet, they should be in the near future.
So, my advice? Keep an eye on Sea of Serenity. I’ll of course mention the rollout right here on Tumblr, as well.
Really, if you enjoy Sera Myu, Sea of Serenity is a fantastic resource, regardless.
By the way, my PGSM HD remasters will also find a home on their website.
Yes it’s true! Along with Dave’s amazing remasters, we’re working on updating all our translations for the Bandai musicals. There’s no timeline of a release yet but keep an eye out! Join our discord (linked on site) if you wanna be the first to know!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve used tumblr, but with The Super Live NA tour hype going around, I’m trying to use it again. I was able to see the show in Sugarland,TX back in March and as a lifelong Sailor Moon fan, and especially being a big fan of the musicals, it was such an amazing experience.
Chatting with fellow fans, I realized there’s a whole side of this fandom that never knew about the musicals before The Super Live. If so, we eagerly welcome you to the Commyunity!

Gosh, I don't want to pressure you into anything, having the shows AND the Bandai guests were my biggest wishes, but I have to ask: what about the other guests' footage? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume the guests in the full musical footage are the ones from the final show. I don't wanna be greedy, we have SO MUCH as it is and you've already done a HUGE favour and service to us all and I'm very glad! I just! have to ask 👉 👈

However, the guest corner part in the full show (which is day 4 2nd performance - Satomi Okubo and Saki Matsuda) is translated, so that’s total 3 of the 8 guest corners.

Hi there! Im thinking we will probably get around to this years Nogimyu. Can’t say for sure when, but I’ll be aiming to snag the Blu-ray of it. As for Super Live, unfortunately there has not been an full release of the show. Just mostly media clips and recordings from the ending concert/curtain call stuff, so we can’t do a release. No matter how much we want to :(
Chronicle is in the proof reading stage and I was making good progress when life decided to explode on me this month. Got me all over the place lol. Hoping for a calm moment to get back to it soon! I really had wanted to get it out so I’ll be making a push once things calm down a bit. 😊
I was wondering: are you planning on subbing the Kaguya Hime's Beloved myu? Or since they (miraculously) streamed a subbed version that's not happening? I wonder if they will stream it again later this year, since they streamed nogi twice...
We got quite a few asks on this so I’ll answer yours and call it a day. Unfortunately the answer is…wishy washy. I haven’t talked much with Akiko about subbing Kaguya and since there were official subs streamed, it seems there isn’t a need currently. However, seeing that it’s been over a year since it’s release and almost a year since the official streams with no news on a way to get the official subs outside of 🏴☠️ methods, then there may be a need to fill at some point. I just can’t give a definite answer at the point.
If we do, well certainly update here, the website and in our Discord server (which is a really great way to keep in touch with me if you ever have questions!)
Small update/check in. I’m so very sorry it’s been forever since I’ve updated our Tumblr. I’m also sincerely sorry for having missed any asks or questions sent our way. Apparently I haven’t been getting the email notifications like I used to, but I think I’ve figured that issue out and should be able to get those from now on.
As far as future projects and updates go, the site is essentially on an indefinite hiatus in terms of future projects or translations. If we have time and are able to do new things, we certainly will! However currently with mine and Akiko’s personal lives and other commitments we have, we do not have the time to dedicate to translations and site updates like we used to.
That said, SeaofSerenity.net isn’t going anywhere! I planned for the site to eventually be a static site that will be around as long as I’m around (and I hope to have a successor plan down the road but that’s a long time from now to think about) for those to have access to our fan translations.
Tomorrow is the day! If you are a member of our discord, you’ll know that we’ve been rewatching Sailor Moon Crystal in anticipation of Sailor Moon Eternal.
