Sailor Moon x Akiko Kosaka
MUSIC HISTORY

The concert celebrating the 45th anniversary of composer Akiko Kosaka’s career brought together a bunch of people from Bandai Era’s Sera Myu!

This time I made a compilation of every character the actors got to reprise in song for the event, which is why some (well, mostly Hikari XD) appear more than once! Here it goes

Day 5 - Kings of Myu

@sera-myu-week​ ‘s continues with the best day. Where i get to post my favorite men of Myu.

In no particular order it’s

  • Yuuta Mochizuki
  • Ryuuji Kasahara
  • Yuu Shirota
  • Yoshiya Yukimura


Yuuta and Ryuuji were such a great pair that worked well off of each other. Their humor, acrobatics, acting and singing abilities really made them stand out. My personal favorite role for Yuuta is Count Dracul and probably Tiger’s Eye for Ryuuji, though Kyaos and Baron Gilles de Rais are pretty close seconds!

Yuu Shirota is a total given for me. He sings, he dances, he acts, he even plays guitar! Not to mention he has a great chemistry with MarinaMoon and is, imo, the most handsome stage Mamoru (Riona has really rose up to a very close second if not tied with Yuu tho!)

Yoshiya Yukimura is a gem for the later shows and I just adore him. He’s so fun. I love watching his antics on stage. <3

Day 1 - Bandai Myu

Let’s celebrate @sera-myu-week​ by watching the musical that started it all!

1993 Summer - Spin-off - The Dark Kingdom Resurrection Chapter

This musical acts as an alternate sequel to the first season of the original 1990′s anime. This is the show that started it all debuting actors and actresses who would go on to be involved in the Bandai produced Sailor Moon musicals for many years. This show also features the only BanMyu which includes Luna and Artemis in the cast.

This musical is the first Sera Myu show to debut in 1993. It is also the first musical for Anza Ohyama as Sailor Moon, as well as the popular first Sailor Mercury actress, Ayako Morino. This is the show that starts it all and many of the cast go one to be involved in later Bandai produced Sailor moon musicals. This musical acts as a direct sequel to the first season of the original anime, being the only musical to directly relate to the anime series and have direct references to it. This is also the only musical where Luna and Artemis were characters in the story.  Neither of the cats are cast in a Sailor Moon musical until 25 years later with the Nogizaka 46 x Sailor Moon musical project, which has Luna in the form of a puppet.

It’s kaiteiban (revision) was unfortunately never released on VHS or DVD, so this is the only version of the musical that is available to watch.

Usagi and her friends are looking forward to their upcoming summer vacation, hoping it to be filled with lots of fun and romance. However, Usagi has a dream where Queen Beryl declares the revival of the Dark Kingdom. Luna is rightful upset, as Usagi’s dreams and premonitions come true. Ami, Rei, Mako and Minako are skeptical but soon the resurrection of the Dark Kingdom becomes apparent. Once again, the Sailor Soldiers much return to D Point in order to save Tuxedo Mask from Queen Beryl and the Four Heavenly Kings.

Can Usagi and her friends save Mamoru and the Earth or will the Dark Kingdom’s plans actually come to fruition…?

SeaofSerenity was contacted with the press release of the announcement, so we wanted to share! You will also notice that Robbie Daymond, the current voice of Tuxedo Mask in Viz Media’s dub for both the Original Anime and Sailor Moon Crystal, will be in attendance as well. Double the Mask, Double the fun??

Amour Eternal

“This is the place our dreams converge…”

We are happy to announce our newest release: Amour Eternal just in time for the great American Eclipse!  This is the 4th of the new musical projects that began with 2013′s La Reconquista. Amour Eternal tells the story of the series’ fourth arc regarding Super Sailor Moon’s introduction and the battle against the Dead Moon Circus, a villain group that arrives during a total Solar Eclipse…  This musical also introduces a brand new cast for the Sailor Team.

Something strange happens in a single moment during the total Solar Eclipse and suddenly a Circus arrives in town. Usagi and her friends attend their auditions, but soon realise its an enemy scheme and set out to defeat them. Meanwhile, Chibiusa befriends the mysterious Pegasus who lives in her dreams. 

This musical features numbers including “Speed of Light”, “Viva Viva Dead Moon Circus” “Yami no Shin’en - The Abyss of Darkness”, “Nehelenia no Noroi” and “Koisuru Satellite”.
