Sailor Moon Trivia: Unattractive Woman Shop

In episode 61, Berthier takes over a Crystal Point, a cosmetics store called “Otafukuya”.

Otafukuya basically means “unattractive woman shop”

It is in the sense that plain or homely girls can make themselves more beautiful with cosmetics and even girls who would be attractive if not for a few problems with their face, can hide those flaws. This fits well with the episode where Usagi worries that Mamoru has broken up with her for not being pretty enough.

Otafuku can also refer to a mask of a pale moon-faced woman. The -ya means store.
